Force Plate Testing (Weeks 1 & 2)
- Jump Height (cm) — explosiveness for starts & turns
- Force Production (N) — how much force the athlete generates
- Left–Right Balance (%) — injury risk & balanced development
- Explosive Speed (N/s) — speed of force production
Video Stroke Analysis (Weeks 1 & 2)
- Video recording of 1 primary stroke
- In-person video review with a coach
- 2–3 key technique corrections

LOGISTICS
Drop-Off & Pick-Up
- Drop-off no earlier than 7:45 AM (15 min before start)
- Pick-up by 4:10 PM, or 5:10 PM with add-on package
- Drop-off at the front entrance roundabout
- Parking available — park and walk in through main entrance
What to Bring
Optional for quiet time: pillow, book, cards/games, headphones.
Quiet Time / Midday Break
- Held indoors at the Community Center
- ~15 min walk from pool — coaches accompany all swimmers
- Miami Shores bus used when available
- Used for rest, relaxation & educational talks
Nutrition
- Nutritious lunch provided daily
- Pre-practice snack provided
- Post-practice recovery snack provided
- Meals designed around energy, recovery & hydration
- Indicate dietary restrictions at registration
Health & Safety
SAFETY & MEDICAL
All coaches are trained and certified. Medical conditions must be disclosed during registration. Emergency contact information is required for all participants.
Lightning & Weather Policy: Miami Shores Aquatic Center is equipped with a lightning detection system. When the alarm sounds, all swimmers exit the pool and clear the deck immediately, moving to a covered area. Camp continues with educational talks or dryland exercises — no session time is lost.
